Welcome to our ELS Forum ! - a place to exchange ideas, fixes, known problems, etc
Just a suggestion made by Alec earlier today, could everyone registered here please post a small messge stating what track they are from and what they do there.
Put as little or as much as you like.

I will start the ball rolling - as most of you may know I repair the transmitters for SNZ / Dorian in NZ.
My technical background is in telecommunications and I currently work for a national computer company.
I am located in Nelson and am a member of both the Nelson and Blenheim clubs.
I have raced in a variety of classes over the years, starting with a streetstock, about 4 stockcars, 2 A grade saloons, and recently a production saloon (!?) - all good fun.
Anyway if you have any questions about the ELS system or transmitters this is the place to ask - we will endeavour to find the answer for you.
If the system is setup correctly it will be 100% reliable - but that is the key, CORRECT SETUP. This applies to both the track equipment and the mounting of transmitters in vehicles!
There is a document in the Documentation section that you can download which covers most of what is known to date. You will need to register to access this.

Regards, Paul

Hello all My name is Nic.
I ran the ELS at Woodford Glen for about 6 years.
I'm a Software Engineer, I own a small software company that writes customized business software.
I also build websites, set up forums, fix computers and do almost anything Geeky that turns a buck.
I have spent a considderable amount of time digging through the Race Timing Software and have a good acknowledge of how it works, and how it can be manipulated.
I am happy to give advise on any computing issues, related or not and am keen to learn more about how this system is being used at other tracks.

My Company supplies the server space for this forum, so i guess i should include a plug. Computer Geek Home & Business Services :D
